ORACLE E-BUSINESS FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST

LOCATION: Ottawa, Ontario
SALARY: OPEN, commensurate with experience

Dare HR currently has a requirement from our esteemed Client for an experienced ORACLE E-BUSINESS FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Troubleshoot and resolve daily Oracle issues via the TAR process using Metalink.
• Work with the business to understand requirements and recommend Oracle standard and custom solutions.
• Lead projects and be part of other project teams focused on the development and deployment of Oracle solutions.
• Participate as required in all parts of a project execution lifecycle: Requirement gathering, Design, Test & Deployment.
• Develop and maintain key project deliverables such as the Applications Setup documents and user roles and responsibilities.
• Collecting test data and set up the modules with the test data.
• Participate in the development of user training material and the delivery of training including post implementation support to the end users.
• Experience and Educational Guidelines
• Minimum of 3-5 years functional experience with AP, AR, GL, FA and knowledge of associated business processes and best practices
• Experience with reporting tools OFA and Discoverer.
• Familiarity with other related Oracle modules i.e. OFA, Projects, Order Management Purchasing.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
• Experience with the Oracle ERP implementation methods with an in depth knowledge of the Oracle ERP software module(s) including data setup and training.
• Experience with Oracle E-business Suite 11i.
• Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley controls and procedures
• Quickly understands and conceptualizes business requirements and consistently delivers quality, fact-based solutions to meet these requirements
• Strong knowledge of the business functions of the end users
• Knowledge of the security issues and capabilities of the system including the integration issues with other software.
• Ability to develop detailed design specifications with AIM methodology (MD050's and MD070's)
• Good understanding of Oracle Support procedures and capabilities.
• Project and team leadership experience.
• Change leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.
• Operational experience in a finance discipline considered an asset.
