DESCRIPTION
INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS (IFRS) - CONSULTANT (SIX MONTHS CONTRACT)
LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario
SALARY: OPEN, D.O.E.
CONTRACT TERM: Six (6) months
A large and expanding trend setting Canadian Corporation has asked Dare Human Resources to assist them in seeking an IFRS Consultant – A SIX (6) MONTHS CONTRACT POSITION - for its Toronto office.
The successful applicant must have an accounting degree, with a CA, CMA or CGA designation. A solid background and understanding of IFRS and GAAP, excellent knowledge of MS Office as well as one (1) to three (3) years of related experience is required.
You must possess superior analytical and communication skills (verbal and written), and are able to work individually and/or with a team in this deadline oriented environment. Knowledge of MS Dynamics (Great Plains) and previous Aviation industry experience would be considered assets.
This is an opportunity to be contractually employed by a Firm that provides the utmost of consideration to customer service. You will be called upon to report to the Financial Reporting Director and Controller and will take a lead role in the Company’s conversion from Canadian GAAP to International Financial Reporting Standards. Several duties (but not limited to) include – strategizing, planning and executing the transition project; researching and development of IFRS accounting policies; reviewing and revising existing accounting policies; evaluating requirements of new reporting standards as well as preparing supporting analyses and information for variances between IFRS and GAAP; plus all other duties expected from or designated to an experience IFRS Consultant.
